In the 1950's there were around 2,000 people living in the Fountain area. Now there are around 300. From 1969 when our most recent conflict began, people moved away partly through re-development, partly through fear and intimidation. This movement of people was scarcely noticed in the tumult of the 70's. This collection of songs aims to give a sense of the area in living memory in the hope that the story of a vital community will live on.
